Gracie Barra Hoppers Crossing BARRAFIT program goes beyond the typical “get into shape” or mixed martial arts (MMA) program. The program aims at building a strong mind as the foundation for a strong and fit body by teaching the same values we teach to regular Jiu-Jitsu practitioners and MMA fighters to help them succeed on their journeys from white to black belt or into the cge. BARRAFIT is fitness with a purpose. The purpose of achieving one’s personal best.

What is BARRAFIT ?

BARRAFIT is a new, specialized program offered through Gracie Barra that draws on our successful training methods but focussed on a martial arts inspired fitness program.

It incorporates the philosophy, teaching and training methods of Gracie Barra into classes that are specifically designed to help individuals meet their fitness goals that is unique, inspiring, welcoming, challenging and safe.

Every workout session is led by an experienced Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu instructor and is designed to be fun, supportive and challenging, while burning maximum calories, in minimum time, whilst learning some self defense, strikes, kicks, elbows and knees, followed by specific fitness based exercises design to help you reach your goals.

Unlike working with a personal trainer, our classes take place in a group setting, which makes them fun, motivating and challenging for everyone.


Each class is packed with fun and energizing activities uniquely designed reach your fitness goals. Our program works fast!

The class is offered first thing in the morning and runs for 45 minutes, from 6.15am to 7.00am. There is nothing like a fast-paced workout first thing in the morning to keep the metabolism firing all day. More sessions to be added soon.

The typical class structure is:

  1. Warm-up
  2. Self Defense Drills
  3. Strikes/Kicks/Elbows/Knees rounds
  4. Specific BARRAFIT exercises including cardio and strenght training
  5. Cool down
